Jamie Geier
Jamie Geier is the proud mother of 2 Chapel School students, Charlie (3rd grade) and Zachary (PS-4). She and her husband, Rob, are thankful to the school and its teachers for the education their children receive and the holistic focus of the curriculum. Jamie has run several half marathons over the past 2 years and is looking forward to running her first marathon after a 15 year hiatus in support of the Chapel School. When not chasing after her boys, Jamie is an epidemiologist and works in drug safety at Pfizer.
Rob Gebhart
Rob Gebhart has been a Chapel School parent since 2012. He and his wife, Christi, have three children attending Chapel: Tyler (6th Grade), Brayden (4th Grade) and Lila (2nd Grade). Rob has run several half marathons over the past few years, and he and Christi ran their first (and only) marathon together in 2000. Ever since, Rob has had the bug to run NYC and is very excited to be part of Team Chapel this year. Rob is in the investment business and works in midtown Manhattan.
Jack Culaj
Jack Culaj has been a Chapel School parent for 7 years. He is married to Groshe, who has served on the Chapel School PTO board for the past 3 years. They have two children together, Sarina and Paul. Sarina attended the Chapel School from K through 5th grade. Paul is a 3rd grade Chapel School student and has been going to Chapel since PK-3. When not taking care of his kids, Jack is playing guitar, cooking or woodworking. Jack plays a variety of guitar styles including acoustic, finger-style, jazz, blues, flamenco etc. Jack has run the NYRR Half-Marathon in Central Park. He is very excited to run his first marathon and raise money for The Chapel School.
Jessica Murrer
Jessica Murrer has been a member of the Lutheran church since chapel school. She attended Bronxville High School and was captain of both the field hockey and track & field team. This past May she graduated from Rhodes College located in Memphis, Tennessee with a bachelor of arts in Anthropology and Sociology and a minor in Religious Studies. Jessica has been passionate about health and fitness her whole life and would like to implement it into her future career. Pastor Hartwell has always been a role model to her because of his ability to weave humor into his sermons and genuine character. He has inspired her to run the marathon because of his physical transformation in 2007. She is extremely excited to run her first marathon and to raise money for the Lutheran church!
Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell
Pastor Hartwell has a long love for The Chapel School. His children, Alexander and Hannah, attended the school from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. He is married to Sue who served as a teacher at Chapel School for 10 years. Sue presently serves as a special education teacher and works on-on-one with children at area schools including Chapel. Pastor Rob, as he is known, has served as the Associate Pastor and Chapel School Liaison from 1998-2003 and Senior Pastor/Trustee of the Church and School since 2003. He began running several years ago after a successful fundraising challenge that saw him lose over 100 pounds (as well as over $400,000 in matching funds for the Chapel School). Pastor Rob and Sue love to walk and are enjoying a "sometimes empty nest" with both children in college. Pastor Hartwell ran the Westchester Half-Marathon with Team Chapel for the Chapel School in 2009 and the New York City Marathon for Team Chapel for the Chapel School in 2011. He is working at hitting sub 9 minutes miles and plans to run a half or full marathon in the winter (somewhere warm).
